Going more complex with the simplicity. I was trying to achieve a cycle or growth.

Oil on Canvas
Daily Deviation, 2008-07-23

Daily DeviationI'll be honest and say that I've been wanting to feature something by =cogwurx for awhile now, but had difficulty finding that "one piece". Enter our suggester, who found the diamond. Sprout is an absolutely gorgeous oil, filled with vibrant colours and bold strokes. I hope you take the time to check out the rest of this gallery - you won't be disappointed. Exquisite work! It reminded me straight off of the life and death of a plant. Brilliant :+fav:

As usual, nice texture ^^ is this draw by oil paint ? (what about the scatch marks on the work? I want to try create such effects on my work too!)

Time flows, in rain, in grey world, in silver heart, in streaming songs...
All oil. I used pencil, once the backgrounds were dry, to get the organics in. However, I had to redo the organics in the dark brown portion. That I did while the paint was still wet but using a rubber tool to draw the outline and then applied paint on the wet oils. I generally like to do detailed work on dry paint rather than wet on wet.
