I've had this idea in my head for a while and I finally made it. I've been working on my cartooning style for ages and I've been wanting to incorporate it in my work somehow for long time as well. But I've always run into a creative block when doing so. I think I've figured out a good amalgumation for "tradigital" and my cartooning. Anyway, I've been a big fan of the old pulp covers and retro-scifi stuff using airships so he is what I'm starting to play/work with. If I get inspired to do more pieces like this, which I'm hoping, I'm most likely going to add the Pixel Revolution robots as part of this world. :-]

This is realy nice, Rome. I like how you colored the kid - all sepia toned sort of. I am very glad you incorporated your own drawing into thie piece and didn't just slap together photographs. Compositionally, the boy adds a lot to this piece, and united the top and bottom photos. Plus, he is well drawn. You are going in a great direction here, and I hope you pursue more pieces like this. Especially with the cartoon figure, but of course I am biased about that :) Well done, love. You should be happy about this one. This photo-drawing merge piece is heads above what you were doing in Alphabet Soup....
