Wow! did this go through several iterations. This is a painting that I started back in May and was going to be a collage sort of thing. I knew an elephant was going to be the main theme. I thought I had finished it mid-May, but something about it didn't seem right. I stared at the painting for a couple days and I got to the point where I really hated the painting. So I put it away for about a month or two and revisited it last week determined to finish it. The fact that this painting wasn't complete and I knew that there was one in there bothered me so I just let loose on it. This is the result. I don't think it's my best painting, but I did some new things with it that I'll apply to other paintings.
